From our Heritage Collection

This is a 19th century antique copper fish pot, or poisonierre. This long antique, rectangular “Poissonniere” (or fish pot) was crafted in France. Made of copper with a large forged iron handle attached with rivets, this country kitchen essential could still be used for fish cooking. The pot kettle is in excellent condition, and adorns a rich, patinated polished finish. This sturdy, versatile, traditional piece could also be used as a decorative flower jardinière center piece, or simply displayed on top of kitchen cabinets.

CONDITION

In good condition with wear consistent with age and use. Some small breaks in the copper on the rolled under-rim
