Lithoplate Better Than Slate Educational board easel circa 1920


An early 1920s vintage easel.  It is a Lithoplate Better Than Slate Education Board produced by the Richmond School Furniture. The children's education piece acts as both a chalkboard on stand and a fold out art desk. Lithograph lesson cards sweep across the top. These were part of a hand scroll with cranks on the sides. The legs of the stand fold in for easy storage.

In good condition with wear consistent with age and use. The top lithographs scroll paper is missing. Age to the canvas leg straps with one strap missing. Age to the black board.
