victorian-tapestry-folding-chair
Victorian tapestry folding chair

This antique Victorian folding armchair pairs carved woodwork with tapestry upholstery in a richly detailed composition. A shaped crest rail sits above a row of turned spindles, while the seat and back are finished in a floral textile secured with nailhead trim. The folding frame introduces a sense of movement and practicality, allowing the chair to settle easily into farmhouse, cottage, and layered interiors as both seating and a decorative accent.

CONDITION

In good condition with wear consistent with age and use. One arm support shows a slightly lighter tone, suggesting an early replacement that blends into the overall character of the piece. The original tapestry upholstery shows age in a way that contributes to its timeworn surface and palette. The chair remains open in its current state and may be secured if stored in a folded position.

MEASUREMENTS

Height

39 inch

99.1 cm

Width

23.5 inch

59.7 cm

Depth

17 inch

43.2 cm

Seat Height

15.5 inch

39.4 cm

Folded

50 in x 23.5 in x 11 in

127 cm x 59.7 cm x 27.9 cm

SHIPPING

Standard shipping via ground service. Delivery estimate in 2-5 weeks.
