Walking in a Bit of History: Frye Boots
Posted on March 11 2011
Frye Boots are an American classic. Founded in 1863, their boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of the American Civil War. During WWII, Frye supplied many of the troops with their Frye Wellington's, including General Patton. During the 1960s, Frye released their "Campus Boot" based on the 1860 original. The bulky toe and chunky heel epitomized the attitude of the 60s and 70s. .
