This is an antique blanket chest. The large wooden trunk features mustard yellow paint with iron hardware and a cedar lining. It is a heavy piece with a spacious interior for plenty of storage. This style of wood chest is reminiscent to the hope chest with its cedar interior lining. It is a perfect place to store valuable or heirloom textiles and clothing pieces. It is a nice height to place at the end of a bed with a cushion or pillows on top.

CONDITION

In good condition with wear consistent with age and use. Some small splits in the back planks near bottom left side. Front latch is slightly warped and does not latch completely.
