A pair of 1940s wooden bear paw snowshoes featuring compact oval frames, intricate rope lacing, and khaki canvas bindings with metal fittings. Stamped A.G. Craft Ltd. and J. & A. H., with dates of 1943 and 1944, these WWII-era sporting pieces bring rich texture and sculptural interest to a mountain lodge, Western ranch house, or country interior. Particularly striking hung together as rustic wall decor.
In good condition with wear consistent with age and use. Surface wear to the wooden frames and age-related discoloration and wear to the rope webbing, canvas footrests, and fabric bindings.
