A late 19th century Windsor captain’s chair with a continuous curved back and arms, turned spindles, shaped plank seat, and slender stretchered base. Its low, enveloping profile gives the traditional Windsor form a particularly beautiful silhouette, complemented by the warmth and variation of the aged wood. An expressive antique chair that brings sculptural form and quiet character to a bedroom, sitting room, or layered country interior.
In good condition with wear consistent with age and use. The wood shows marks, scratches, finish wear, and variations throughout.
