An antique 1910s English top hat by Chestergate, finished in black silk with a tall gently shaped crown and curled brim. Timeworn edges and subtle surface wear give the formal silhouette a beautifully undone quality that works particularly well against modern tailoring and evening pieces. Worn as an unexpected fashion statement or displayed on a console, dresser or open shelving, its sculptural form moves easily between fashion and interior styling.

CONDITION

In good condition with wear consistent with age and use. The silk shows areas of wear, including along the brim edge and around the base of the crown, with scattered surface marks. Please see photos for details.
