This antique 19th century Windsor chair has a tall fan back framed by a bentwood crest, with slender spindles and distinctive diagonal back braces. The dark surface reveals warm wood tones and traces of old color throughout, adding depth to its graceful form. Bamboo-turned legs and stretchers complete the early American design. Beautiful from every angle, it is especially striking as a stand-alone chair beside a table, desk, or in an entry.
In good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use. There is surface wear, paint loss, scratches, and marks throughout.
