This turn-of-the-century Adirondack children’s rocking chair pairs sculptural twigwork with an exceptional original painted surface. Silver, red, and yellow details travel across the dark wood frame, with larger painted motifs continuing onto the seat and rockers. The expressive twig form, richly aged decoration, and diminutive scale make it a remarkable example of American Adirondack folk art furniture.
In good condition with wear consistent with age and use. The painted surfaces show age-related wear.
