Details

From our Heritage Collection

This 19th century primitive earthenware vessel carries a rich rustic presence through its rounded form, dark glazed surface, and rope handle. The worn finish and utilitarian silhouette give the piece an easy sculptural quality that layers naturally into farmhouse, primitive, and early American interiors. Its compact scale works especially well styled on open shelving, kitchen counters, or among other antique pottery and woodenware.

CONDITION

In good  condition with wear consistent with age and use. Surface wear, glaze variation, and age marks throughout add to its timeworn character. The rope suspension appears to be an older replacement.
