Details

This antique brass basin combines a broad, rounded silhouette with an elaborate arrangement of embossed flowers and scrolling foliage. A finely ribbed border and two graceful loop handles frame the richly patinated brass, giving the piece a beautiful interplay of ornament and form. Its generous scale makes it an elegant decorative centerpiece for a dining table, console, or sideboard.

CONDITION

In good condition with wear consistent with age and use. The brass exhibits oxidation, areas of verdigris, surface discoloration, and mineral deposits on the interior, as shown in the photographs.
