From our Heritage Collection
A handsome 19th-century brass hearth footman with sculptural cabriole legs, finely modeled paw feet, and a richly aged golden patina. The rectangular brass top is framed by turned carrying handles, while the ornate apron features graceful scrolling cutouts, a central diamond detail, and decorative knobs.
Rooted in traditional English fireside furnishings, this Victorian-era piece brings together classical furniture detailing and the warmth of antique brass. Beautiful beside a fireplace or incorporated into a collected living room or library, its distinctive silhouette offers a rich contrast to upholstered furniture, aged wood, and layered textiles.
CONDITION
In good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use. The brass displays a varied patina with oxidation, spotting, scratches, and surface discoloration. The top has circular impressions and marks from previous use.
