This 19th century copper hearth pot has a beautifully rounded form and hand-forged iron bail. The richly patinated copper surface carries layers of warm, varied color, framed by dark ironwork with graceful hand-worked details at each side. Its simple form, aged materials and sculptural handle give the piece a strong presence from every angle.
In good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use. Patina, oxidation, surface marks and variations throughout the copper, with oxidation and wear to the iron handle.
