This circa 1900 folk art sewing box is crafted in the form of a miniature log cabin, with rounded wood logs, notched corners, and an individually shingled roof. The roof opens to reveal a green felt-lined interior fitted with wooden spool holders and storage for sewing notions. Richly aged wood and beautifully rendered architectural details give the piece a sculptural presence, allowing it to read equally well as an antique sewing object or a piece of folk art.

CONDITION

In good condition with wear consistent with age and use. The wood shows surface wear and marks, and the interior felt shows wear and staining. The sewing spools shown are included.
