An antique handmade wire gathering basket dating to the early 20th century with a beautifully open sculptural form and rich weathered patina throughout. The hand-twisted wirework and softly irregular weave give the piece a quiet handmade character, while the rusted finish brings warmth and texture against wood tables, shelves, and layered farmhouse interiors. Beautiful filled with gathered branches, citrus, folded linens, or left empty as a standalone decorative object.

CONDITION

In good condition with wear consistent with age. Age-related oxidation, rust, bends, and irregularities to the handmade wire construction as shown.
