Details

Luminous aqua glass gives this antique Hemingray No. 12 telephone insulator a jewel-like quality. Its domed crown, strong horizontal bands and embossed lettering form a crisp silhouette, intensified by shifting blue-green color in the light. An evocative piece of early American industrial design for a shelf, cabinet or sunlit windowsill.

CONDITION

In good condition with wear consistent with age and use. There is surface residue and rust-colored discoloration within the grooves and around the base, along with minor roughness to several drip points. Natural bubbles, mold lines and irregularities are present in the glass.
