This is an antique bentwood chair by Jacob & Josef Kohn from the late 1800s. The classic bentwood cafe chair features a decorative pressed wood seat and top back rail.
In good condition with wear consistent with age and use.

J & J Kohn were leading furniture markers in Austria from the mid 19th century to early 20th century, and worked closely with artists in the Wiener Workstatte and were leading competitors of Thonet. They merged with Mundus in 1914 and then with Thonet in 1921.
