This early 19th century Norwegian folk art trunk features a sweeping dome top, hand-forged iron hardware, and a richly aged wood surface with exceptional patina. The substantial scale, hand-cut dovetail construction, and original interior till highlight its traditional Scandinavian craftsmanship. Whether placed at the foot of a bed, in an entryway, or along the wall of a living room, it offers generous storage while bringing warmth and architectural character to the space.
In good condition with wear consistent with age and use. Surface wear, scratches, age-related separations, and oxidation to the original hand-forged iron hardware. Minor sliver of wood absent from back interior base.
