From our Heritage Collection

This antique Pennsylvania Dutch folk art box dates to the 19th century and features hand-painted floral garlands and a stylized female figure across the lid. The decoration sits against a dark painted ground framed by warm ochre borders that highlight the traditional folk painting.

The sliding lid opens to a divided interior designed for tea, spices, sewing supplies, or small personal items. Its painted surface and expressive folk imagery give the box a distinctive presence suited for primitive, early American, and collected interiors.
