This antique primitive wood bench is an exceptional example of early country furniture, with a long plank seat, deep apron, and distinctive notched slab legs. Its elongated proportions and strong silhouette give the bench a remarkable presence. The beautifully aged wood is rich with pronounced grain, tonal variation, and layers of character developed over time. Its generous scale makes it especially compelling at a long dining table, in an entry, or placed along an expansive wall.
In good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use. The wood has extensive age-related surface wear, including scratches, marks, cracks, variations in color, and areas of surface loss. Please see photos for details.
