This is an exceptional set of four antique Windsor chairs with stencil backs. The ebony painted dining chairs feature delicate gold stenciling across their top rail with spindle backs and splay legs quintessential of the classic American style. Around a table or place on either side of a cabinet, sideboard or fireplace for a unique seating design with a subtle decorative presence.
There is a maker's mark from Amboy, IL.
CONDITION
In good sturdy condition with great character and age to the paint. Slight variance in measurements (within 1 inch). One chair has an old tightening repair to its back spindles.
