antique primitive wooden desktop storage chest

An antique primitive wooden desktop storage chest with a long, low profile, hinged lid, and richly weathered surface in muted brown and gray tones. The interior features a large open compartment alongside a series of smaller divided cubbies. Its understated utilitarian design and timeworn patina lend warmth and texture to an antique desk, library table, or collected country house interior. Early 20th century.

CONDITION

In good condition with wear consistent with age and use. General wear to the wood and paint. The hinged lid does not fully close on one side.
