This early 20th-century wooden shipping crate was made by the Reading Hardware Company of Reading, Pennsylvania. Both the front and back show traces of the company’s original black and red stenciling, adding authentic vintage character. The base is hand-marked for F.C. Layton of Montfort, Wisconsin, offering a glimpse into its industrial history. Constructed with sturdy metal-banded edges and a flat open interior, this antique wood crate combines durability with timeless style

CONDITION

In good condition with wear consistent with age and use. General wear to the wood with markings and wear to the stenciling.
