This is an exceptional set of four antique early 20th-century Windsor chairs with stencil backs. The ebony-painted dining chairs feature delicate gold floral stenciling across the top rails, with spindle backs and splayed legs characteristic of classic American Windsor design. Place them around a dining table or use a pair on either side of a cabinet, sideboard, or fireplace for an unexpected seating arrangement with subtle decorative detail.
In good, sturdy condition with wonderful age and character to the painted finish. Measurements vary slightly between chairs, within approximately 1 inch. One chair has an old, secure tightening repair to the back spindles.
