From our Heritage Collection
This is an impressive collection of carnival knock down dolls circa 1930s. The seventeen canvas and wood dolls or "punks" feature wild and differing hand designed faces and styles with wooly shag hair trim. All but two dolls are double sided. Three of the punks have E. Bergeron of Seaside Heights NJ branding and metal hinges. This rare collection with its pops of color and quizzical characters creates a captivating , thought - provoking objet d'art piece to be displayed mounted or standing to create an unexpected sculptural element.
CONDITION
