This vintage mallard hen duck decoy by JC Higgins for Sears, Roebuck & Co. dates to the mid-20th century. Made of lightweight paper mâché with painted details, it captures the familiar form and coloration of a resting hen. Originally designed as a practical hunting decoy, it now adds rustic charm to shelves, mantels, or seasonal displays.

CONDITION

In good condition with wear consistent with age and use. A cutout square on the bottom. General finish wear with loss of paint.
