Details

A sculptural mid-century table lamp with a deeply turned wood body and striking bands of contrasting tone. Lighter honey-colored wood and darker grain move vertically through the base, bending and widening with each curve of the turned form. The substantial proportions give the lamp a strong presence, balanced by the warm texture and softly tapered profile of the woven shade.

The interplay of wood grain, color and exaggerated turning gives this 1960s–70s lamp a particularly strong decorative quality.

CONDITION

In good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Finish wear is present to the wood finial. Lamp is in working condition.
