This antique Hitchcock-style side chair pairs a dark painted frame with delicate gold floral stenciling and a handwoven rush seat. Slender turned legs, double stretchers and painted details along the crest rails give the chair its distinctive early American character. Its aged surface and graphic silhouette bring depth to a bedroom, entryway or dining space.
In good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use. There is general wear and loss to the painted and stenciled finish, including a slender sliver of wood loss along the top rail.
