This pair of antique wire bar stools by A.H. Andrews & Co. of Chicago dates to the early 20th century. Dark steel wire frames sweep into oversized Art Nouveau scrolls, twisted details, looped feet, and slender curving arms, balanced by richly aged wood seats and armrests. The open framework creates a sculptural silhouette with beautiful contrast between dark metal and warm wood. The pair brings an expressive architectural element to a kitchen, bar, or layered interior of stone, plaster, and natural woods. The A.H. Andrews & Co. manufacturer stamp remains beneath each seat. Circa 1900–1915.
The stools are in good condition with wear consistent with age and use. The wood seats and armrests show surface wear, marks, and age-related variation, including splitting to the wood. The wire frames retain an aged dark finish with oxidation and surface wear. Measurements vary slightly between the two stools.
