This set of four early 20th-century wood folding chairs pairs slender vertical-slat backs with curved slatted seats and beautifully aged warm wood surfaces. The pared-back construction and tall, lean proportions give the chairs a graphic quality that feels particularly good mixed with more refined furnishings around a dining or game table. Early stenciled markings remain along the back rails, and each chair folds flat for storage.
CONDITION
In good condition with wear consistent with age and use. The chairs show surface wear, tonal variation, marks, and scattered spotting. One chair has an old nailed repair to a split along the back seat rail, and another has minor wood loss along the edge of one seat slat, as pictured.
