From our Heritage Collection
This vintage violin has been transformed into an expressive piece of folk art, with hand-incised and darkened musical notes, treble clefs, flowers, hearts, and the word “LOVE” worked directly into its warm amber surface. The freehand carving moves loosely across the body of the instrument, giving the traditional violin form a deeply personal and graphic presence. Paired with its original bow, it is a compelling piece of found art with the intimacy of an object altered by hand and made entirely its own.
In good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. There is general wear to the wood and finish. Two violin strings remain, and the bow is unstrung. One tuning peg is absent, as shown. This piece is being offered as a decorative art object and has not been evaluated for playability.
