This is a vintage studio pottery bowl by Douglas Ferguson of Pigeon Forge Pottery. The bowl features double side handles and a cream glaze with a warm tawny drip along the rim. A functional and decorative piece, it works well as a catchall or serving dish and adds a natural, organic look to a shelf or tabletop.

About the Maker:
Douglas Ferguson founded Pigeon Forge Pottery in 1946 in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Known for its earthy glazes, regional clay, and utilitarian forms, the studio became a cornerstone of mid-century Appalachian pottery. Ferguson’s work often features natural tones and simple silhouettes, reflecting a deep connection to the landscape and traditions of the American South.
