This vintage Early American captain's chair features a continuous curved arm, sculpted crest rail with an integrated handhold, turned spindle back, and exposed steel cross-bracing beneath the seat. Warm oak grain and traditional craftsmanship give the chair a welcoming presence, while the architectural silhouette complements farmhouse, colonial, rustic, and collected interiors. A handsome choice for a dining table, writing desk, library, or reading corner. circa 1940s-1950s
CONDITION
In good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. There is age-related finish wear and patina throughout. One bentwood arm has a stable age crack along the curve, and the seat shows expected separation between the planks from natural wood movement.
